Review: Filthy Beautiful Lies

The book was good, I liked it. The fact that is was sooooo similar to A Million Dirty Secrets, which I read as a Twilight fanfic, was distracting for the first 1/3 of the book. After that it veered off on it’s own and I got into the book and really started to connect with the characters. Then it ended in a major cliffhanger. NOT COOL. I am invested enough that I will read the sequel but honestly these two should have been one book and that is why I am not going to purchase the second audio book. It should never have been split into two books to begin with.

Bottom line…I’m not saying to run out and buy this right now, but if you see it on discount, or for free (which is how I came to own it) then grab it. Just make sure you get the sequel also!!!

Review: The Stolen Suitor

Well written and likable character. The story was a tad bit predictable, and it seemed like the author was setting us up for some angst. It never came to fruition, but in the end I loved it anyway. Definitely a good read!

I fell for Bo in an instant. I was worried that I might not connect with Ann Marie, and that is what her name is, not AM. She’s not a damn minimart! LOL Anyway, I loved the book. I loved Bo, and the rest of the cast. Looking forward to Gray’s story next. I realize the author needed to set up the next book in the series but the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there were a few times where I thought for sure the book was done, but it kept going.

Alright, I give it 3.5 stars and since this was the first hetero book I have read in awhile I am trying to take that into consideration when I rate this book. So I round it up to 4. because I probably had unrealistic expectations for it. I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that the story had great potential but just didn’t quite live up to my expectations. There was no real big moment when things changed between them. It just went from her not wanting to give him a chance to all of a sudden they were together. I kept waiting for something major to happen and it never really did, so I felt a little unfulfilled by the end. I listened to the audio book and the narrators were good, I really loved the guy who read Noah’s parts. Will definitely be checking out more of his work. I already like Noah a lot and this guy made me wish there was more from Noah’s POV in the book. Overall, it is definitely not a bad read, and I did like it.

I seriously think this series is going to end up on my favorites to reread list. It’s got a little bit of everything. The author is dealing with some issues that cut deep, but still keeps the characters true to themselves. I love that there are some fun times to help break of the angsty stuff. And Oh man, don’t get me started on Tate’s family. !@#$!!!! I absolutely love Logan’s and his family. Tate…well he’s just awesome and the way he learns to handle Logan is amazing. Of course the sex is HOT, but it’s loving also. *dreamy sigh* Oh and just wait til you get to the end…*fans self* Lordy!! That was some good lovin’!!
